Membership Fees

Professional Member $200.00 - Available to all biofeedback professionals certified as practitioners, technicians, specialists, diplomates or the equivalent by most accredited certification boards.  Professional members receive all benefits of membership listed below including professional and general liability benefits. This is an $1000.00 minimum value benefit package for only $200.00 per year

Dual Professional Member $250.00 - Available to all biofeedback professionals who also practice any other healthcare therapies including acupressure, alternative therapies, aromatherapy, homeopathy, hypnotism, naturopathy, reflexology and spiritual healing. To qualify as a Dual Professional Member of BANA, your primary business must be biofeedback. Dual members are also members of The Natural Therapies Association of North America (TNTANA) and receive all the benefits of membership listed here including professional and general liability benefits.  This is an $1250.00 minimum value benefit package for only $250.00 per year. This fee includes all of the benefits of membership in both TNTANA and BANA.

Colon hydrotherapists and nutritionists who also practice biofeedback are not eligible for BANA membership benefits and must join TNTANA to have full benefits regardless of your primary profession. That membership and benefit package is administered by TNTANA. If your primary business is acupressure, aromatherapy, homeopathy, hypnotism, naturopathy or reflexology, you are not eligible for BANA membership and must join TNTANA for full benefit coverage because of the additional risks involved for these professions.

Membership Types

PROFESSIONAL

Professional Members of the Association must be licensed in a healthcare profession or be certified by one of the following organizations:

The Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA)

The License Commission of the Americas (TLCTA)

The Natural Therapies Certification Board (NTCB)

The Neurotherapy and Biofeedback Certification Board (NBCB)

Other certification or licensing options may be available to you

The membership fee for Professional Members of the Association is $200.00 a year.  This fee includes all of the benefits of membership.

DUAL PROFESSIONAL

Dual professional members are required to meet the requirements for professional membership listed above and the requirements for their other natural therapies professions as set forth on The Natural Therapies Association of North America (TNTANA) website. The professions covered by TNTANA include acupressure, alternative therapies, aromatherapy, colon hydrotherapy, homeopathy, hypnotism, naturopathy, nutrition, reflexology and spiritual healing.

Of these, acupressure, alternative therapies, aromatherapy, homeopathy, hypnotism, naturopathy, reflexology and spiritual healing qualify for BANA Dual Professional Membership only if biofeedback is your primary business. Colon hydrotherapy, and nutrition do not qualify for BANA Dual Professional Membership because of the additional insurance risk involved. However, these professions do qualify for TNTANA Dual Professional Membership.
