Certification Boards

By far the largest biofeedback certification board in the world is the Natural Therapies Certification Board (NTCB). NTCB is a member of NOCA and abides by NOCA guidelines. NTCB is accredited by the Natural Therapies Accreditation Commission. The second-largest biofeedback certificaiton board is the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA). BCIA adheres to the NOCA guidelines and is currently self-accredited. The third largest segment of BANA membership is comprised of licensed professionals who do not require certification.

The following is a current list of boards that certify biofeedback professionals in North America:

1. NTCB - the Natural Therapies Certification Board (also including NBCB Neurobiofeedback Certification Board - which merged into NTCB)
2. BCIA - Biofeedback Certification Institute of America
3. NRNP (Must transfer to BCIA or NTCB this year)
4. TLCTA - The License Commission of the Americas
5. ABBP -
6. IMUNE -
7. NHECB -
